Sherri Shepherd Lands Spot In 'Ride Along 2' Announces Good News On 'The View'

Sherri Shepherd finally has more positive news to talk about, MStars News has learned that The View host has landed a role to starr in the upcoming film, Ride Along 2.

The comedian, and host will join comedian Kevin Hart, and actor, Ice Cube.

According to Variety, Shepherd will also be apart of Chris Rock's Top Five, that will be screened in the Special Presentations section at the Toronto Film Festival in September. Shepherd also had a recurring role on the CBS series How I Met Your Mother.

Ride Along was the highest-grossing film ever released in the month of January earning, $134 million. The hit film topped the box office for three weeks in a row. Ride Along 2 is expected to be released, Jan. 15, 2016.

Directors include, Tim Story, and screenwriters, Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay.  Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez are producing, for CubeVision teaming up with Will Packer for Will Packer Productions, Larry Brezner and Scott Bernstein.

Shepherd announced on June 26 that her time on The View was ending, after seven years. Her last show is Aug. 8.
