Modern superhero movies keep getting bigger and more packed with characters, so fans have naturally started to wonder if the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy and the team from The Avengers: Age of Ultron could share the screen at the same time in the not-too-distant future.
The Guardians cast spoke to Yahoo! recently and Vin Diesel strongly hinted at a future crossover. "Marvel will have a lot of options after this movie and one of those options will be integrating teams," he said.
He added Marvel's plans could of course change at any time. "We talked about all sorts of possibilities [for a crossover] and I kind of know what the basic plan is," Diesel said. "It could always change at any minute. That could or could not include a couple of Avengers and a couple of Guardians meeting up, or all of the Avengers and all of the Guardians." He finished by saying, ""But, we do inhabit the same universe and they're pretty big personalities that are likely to, at some point or another, run into each other."
Zoe Saldana then added the Avengers might need the Guardians help down the road. "It would be awesome for the Avengers to seek help...professional help from the Guardians," she said. "[The Guardians] have all been cybernetically altered, so they're kind of super-bionic."
Dave Bautista believes "Drax and Hulk would clash." Director James Gunn foresees turmoil between the two teams. "I do not think the Avengers would get on well with the Guardians," he said. "The Guardians are like a bunch of jerks, really. The Avengers, for all their problems, they're all do-gooders. And our guys are not do-gooders."
Do you think a crossover will happen? If it does, then what would you think would happen in such a movie? Let us know in the comments below.
