When Sharknado first premiered on the SyFy Channel, the low budget cult movie surprisingly became a pop culture phenomenon that no one could deny. As Sharknado 2: The Second One made its grand entrance, cast-mates Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Mark McGrath, and more joined Twitter to feed the frenzied hype machine.

The Sharknado sequel takes viewers to the the Big Apple as Fin (Ziering) and April (Reid) are back fighting sharks that keep falling from the sky. This time around, Fin has to save his best friend, Martin (Mark McGrath) and his sister Ellen (Kari Wuhrer) before New York's famous landmarks are toppled over from the massive floods.

The Domino actor writes on his Twitter feed, "Josh, next time I'm having you take the picture. #Sharknado2"

In the snapshot, we see the ex-Chippendales dancer taking a selfie while being swallowed whole by a giant shark.

The American Pie actress joins in on the fun and states, "It's raining flaming sharks in NYC #askTara #Sharknado2TheSecondOne"

NBC weatherman Al Roker shared a photo he previously took with the main actor. The Today Show host writes, "Sharknado 2 star Ian Ziering on Wake Up With Al on the Weather Channel. We're gonna need a bigger studio."

The ex-Sugar Ray singer teases, "In #Sharknado2 I swap a mic for a flamethrower. And things go bad quickly. Don't miss the insanity!"

There was also a Beverly Hills 92010 reunion on Twitter as Jason Priestly praised his former co-star, "OMG! Ian Ziering just landed a shark on top of the Empire State Building! Just like the Zepplins were supposed to do!"

As mentioned here, there is also the Sharknado: The Video Game available to download. In the game, players get to use their chainsaw and ride a shark, just like Fin in the movie.

During the premiere of Sharknado 2: The Second One, the cast had tons of fun participating with the audience on Twitter. Readers, what did you think of the Shaknado sequel?
