Video Game developers Bioware last week premiered some incredible new footage for the upcoming Mass Effect title. We learned that this teaser, shown at the Bioware panel at the 2014 Comic-Con, did not feature any gameplay footage or information in general about Mass Effect 4. This is an entirely different Mass Effect standalone game that definitely has us excited!

According to Bioware developers on-hand at the 2014 SDCC, this game may not be the next chapter of the franchise, but is definitely a "spiritual successor" to the previous titles. Allegedly, this new game will give players "as much choice as possible" when it becomes available, presumably on next gen consoles.

You can check out this new footage from the Mass Effect Comic-Con panel right here:

As you can see, it definitely looks like the Mass Effect world we're used to, but with slight differences that are sure to please gamers.

But what do we know about Mass Effect 4? It's allegedly "years away," according to the panel, but we saw a great teaser trailer at the 2014 E3 events. Perhaps it's actually closer than what we're being told?

In the meantime, you should check out the E3 2014 teaser trailer for Mass Effect 4 to get an idea of what the future of gaming holds:
