We haven't heard much about the upcoming 24th James Bond film, which still has no title, but new rumors suggest that the Skyfall fallow up movie is on its way - after a huge script rewrite came to the "rescue!" Hopefully this news will lead to a release date announcement and an exciting new trailer with Daniel Craig back as 007.
According to this report, the original script from scribe John Logan underwent a rewrite by legendary Bond screenwriters Neil Purvis and Robert Wade. This wasn't just a quick edit to the script though; this new rumor claims it was a huge overhaul rewrite.
(EDITOR'S NOTE: We understand that The Daily Mail isn't too great for anything other than gossip, but Bamingoye has more credibility than most.)
"Everyone's excited, and all systems are pumping away at full speed," one source told the reporter.
'There was an awful lot of work to do. It was a big job," another source, allegedly a studio executive, said. "The impression given was that Purvis and Wade were hired to add jokes - but it was a bigger deal than that."
Oddly enough, Skyfall's script was penned by Wade and Purvis, but then fixed up by Logan, so, if this news is true, it looks like the writing team is getting some kind of payback on this.
Or this rumor is pretty lazy and just switched the names around. All we truly know is that Bond 24 is pushed further and further away each year as Craig gets older. What do you think of this news?
