'Star Wars 7' Plot News, Title, Release Date, SPOILERS & Rumors: Daisy Ridley Scenes Cut From New Movie 'The Inbetweeners 2' Because Of 'Episode VII'

Our first glimpse of unknown Star Wars: Episode VII cast member Daisy Ridley was going to come with the release of The Inbetweeners 2, but according to the series' creators, the few scenes she was a part of had to be cut. Plus her busy schedule with the next J.J. Abrams movie meant she couldn't come in for reshoots ahead of the film' release date. In other words, our first look at Ridley will be in the trailer for Episode VII.

"We've cut her out of the film," Iain Morris, co-creator of the British comedy, said. "She [was] in the opening of the film. We reshot the opening because the script didn't work. We desperately wanted Daisy to come back and do it because she's brilliant, really funny. But by that point she was doing Star Wars."

Damon Beesley, the other series creator, added: She wasn't available because of Star Wars contractual commitments. She wanted to do it...She's brilliant and she'll be a huge star."

"We cast her before she got the role in Star Wars," he continued.

Though the creators have to part with Ridley's scenes in the upcoming comedy, they aren't bitter. In fact, they have some ideas they'd like to pass along to Disney and Lucasfilm about more Star Warsi projects.

"It would be amazing. It would be [The] Odd Couple with a Wookiee and Boba Fett," Morris joked. "And Boba Fett's like, 'I hate Wookiees!'"

The Inbetweeners 2 hits theaters August 6, 2014.
