'The Wire' Star Anwan Glover Injured In DC Nightclub Over The Weekend

MStars News has learned that The Wire star, Anwan Glover was stabbed while partying inside of a Washington, DC nightclub early Sunday morning.

According to TMZ, Glover whose character on the hit HBO series is Slim Charles, was in Cafe Asia where he claims that he was attacked by 2 men, who allegedly beat him.

Glover said that he heard someone yell, "He has a knife," and that's when he claims that he felt a sharp pain. Glover, also a founding member of the popular go-go music band, the Backyard Band.

The musician and the actor also appeared in Twelve Years a Slave. According to the gossip site, Glover was taken to a nearby hospital with lacerations and bruises.

Details are unknown at this time, how the fight started. We are also not sure if the 2 men who beat and stabbed Glover knew him.

At this time, Glover is still in the hospital and currently undergoing some tests.

A rep for the The Wire star says, he is grateful for everyones concern, and says, "It's helping him get through this."
