Katy Perry has been named the newest investor and ambassador to join the Popchips celebrity endorsement team.
Craving a late-night snack during the promotion of her music documentary "Part of Me," Perry grabbed for a bag of Popchips and after taking a look at the back label, was impressed by the taste of the "healthier alternative" chip snack. She sent out a positive review of Popchips on Twitter, and now she joins Ashton Kutcher among the list of celebs that have signed on to endorse the company.
According to Perry, she will be Popchips creative partner. Along with her investment, she will star in an upcoming ad campaign to be released this fall.
Kutcher's Popchips campaign, which debuted last May, features a series of funny, acted-out dating videos. Some consumers took one ad, where Kutcher sported brown-face makeup to depict an Indian character named Raj, as racist, and Popchips soon pulled the video. The company apologized and stated no offense was intended.
Check out the Kutcher Popchips ad below (which includes the clips of Raj) and keep an eye out for the new Katy Perry Popchips ad this fall.
