Craig Ferguson Replacement: James Corden? 'Into The Woods' Star Is New 'Late Late Show' Host

James Corden has an exciting year of big movies coming out including Begin Again and Into The Woods, but news this week is sure to overshadow even a blockbuster film - CBS has reportedly chosen the British actor as Craig Fergusson's replacement as host of The Late Late Show. Corden will follow Stephen Colbert when he takes over The Late Show after David Letterman rites in 2015.

According to The Wrap, CBS will make the official announcement soon, but we can expect Corden to pick up hosting the show in 2015.

We learned earlier this year that Ferguson would leave his hosting duties for The Late Late Show at the end of 2014. Rumors spread that he was hoping to be named Letterman's replacement, but he insists he has no ill will towards CBS.

"CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are 'consciously uncoupling,' but we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much," Ferguson said in the announcement in April.

"I had no desire - none - to do that job," Ferguson said of Letterman's gig, at the time. "I could barely keep it together at 12:30, never mind 11:30. Nobody wants to hear it. It's so bizarre. People want it to be Jay and Dave or Jay and Conan or some kind of big story. That's not me, that's not what I want. I think what happens is that certain people want you to want it, and they want you to not get it. If that makes 'em happy, well ... It really wasn't what I aspired to. Doing this job wasn't something I aspired to, either. I kind of fell into this."
