Chadwick Boseman Reveals What It Took To Become James Brown In Hit Biopic, 'Get On Up' Actor Says He Would "Practice At Home After 5 Hour Rehearsals"

If you haven't seen the James Brown biopic, Get On Up you should do so now! MStars News has learned why actor Chadwick Boseman made moviegoers feel like the "Godfather of Soul" was not dead, but indeed still alive as he played the singer perfect.

The 42, Draft Day actor had Brown's dances moves down pact, and even Brown's voice with his chin and lip move right. Boseman revealed that becoming the singer was not easy but to fans he made it look like it was.

"I became passionate about learning his vocabulary and his dialect," Boseman said. "We had an amazing choreographer ... I would go home and practice even after 5 hour rehearsals."

The film was directed by Tate Taylor (The Help) , sharing the life of Brown from a boy, dealing with an abusive, gambling father and a mother who left him, til the days of his hit music, including the times he performed at the world famous Apollo Theater.

Brown who died Christmas Day, in 2006 would have probably been pleased at Boseman's hardwork to play his character.

The cast, includes Octavia Spencer, Nelsan Ellis, Tika Sumpter, Craig Robinson, Keith Robinson, Dan Aykroyd, Brandon Mychal Smith, Jill Scott, and more.
