Marvel & Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower: Drawing Of The Three – The Prisoner #1' - Skottie Young's Variant Cover!

With writer/artist Skottie Young on a winning streak with his Rocket Raccoon solo series, now the Eisner-award winner has set his eyes on the iconic Gunslinger. Marvel Comics will release the exclusive variant cover for Stephen King's upcoming The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three - The Prisoner #1. 

In King's magnum opus, the Gunslinger, also known Roland Deschain, has been obsessed with searching for the hidden Dark Tower. The journey has lead the western anti-hero from the dusty plains of Mid-World to the mean streets of New york. Now a new chapter has been announced for the epic-sized collection. 

Scribes Peter David & Robin Furth, with artist Piotr Kowalski, present an all-new tale for the  die-hard fans. In The Prisoner, readers will meet Eddie Dean, an innocent but trouble youth with the power to open doors to other worlds. Can Eddie find a way to escape fro the Man in Black, who won't stop chasing after him?

Just in time for the first issue's release, Marvel will distribute an alternate cover from the highly praised illustrator.

What's interesting about Young's illustrations is how he can depict the Marvel's heroes and villains as children. Notice how the celebrated artist can take the mean and gruff six-shooter, and turn him into a sweet, innocent child. In the cover, notice how the bird on his finger has cartoonish wide eyes.
