Are you ready to take a trip back to Arendelle? Disney is gearing up to release a follow up to the hit 2013 film Frozen. The movie, which grossed $1 billion worldwide at the box office, is getting ready to continue the story of Elsa and Anna.
However, the fairy tale won't be continued in movie format, just yet, but rather will be followed up through a series of children books. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Random House will produce the books which will be aimed towards young readers and will follow the royal sisters as they get to know one another following the events on the blockbuster film.
The first book Anna & Elsa #1: All Hail the Queen, and the second one Anna & Elsa #2: Memory and Magic will both go on sale this coming January.
The news site reports that the chapter books "will add more details to the Frozen world and follow Anna and Elsa as they get to know each other as sisters."
The first two books are just the tip of the iceberg, as Random House is looking to release book numbers 3 and 4 also in 2015, with three or four books to be released each year after.
President of Random House, Barbara Marcus explains that the new Frozen books could even overtake the success of the Disney Never Girls series.
"We have seen our Disney Never Girls series fill a real niche in the chapter book market, and with the momentum for Frozen only continuing to grow, we knew this was the perfect focus for this new series."
Are you excited to read the Frozen sequels?
