Woman Who Crashed Head On Into The Rock's Mother's Car Charged With DUI After Police Chase

MStars News has been keeping you updated with all the latest details in the head on collision of an alleged drunk driver that hit The Rock's mother, and cousin head on while they returned from a family annual fundraiser.

According to TMZ, the police have identified the driver as a female who ran a red light right before hitting Ata Maivia-Johnson ( The Rock's mom) and Lina Fanene ( The Rock's cousin), in Clermont, FL on August 2.

The site reports that the Lake County Sheriff's Department revealed that an officer was attempting to make a traffic stop when the driver fled the scene, and ran the light. Sheriffs said that the officer on duty started to follow the driver, as she collided head on into the Escalade the Hercules actor gave his mother for Christmas in 2012.

All three women were taken to a nearby hospital, where the female driver that caused the accident suffered facial injuries.

TMZ later revealed that the woman who ran the light crashing into The Rock's family, was charged with a DUI. Police are requesting for the prosecutors in the case to order an arrest warrant for the woman who crashed into the actor, wrestler's family.
