Get ready for Patti, Patti LaBelle that is. We know that you have been going through American Horror Story withdrawal since the last season ended earlier this year, but we've got a few spoilers from the new season that will hopefully get you through until the premiere of Freakshow this October.
The horror anthology has taped Grammy winning R&B icon, Labelle, to star in a four-episode arc according to The Hollywood Reporter. She will be joined by returning cast members Jessica Lange, Kathy Bathes, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, and Gabourey Sidibe... just to name a few.
As far as what character she will be playing, TV Line is reporting that she will be playing a "local townie" in the town of Jupiter, Florida, investigating the secrets behind Twisty the killer clown. Patti will also be playing the mother to Gabourey's character.
Sadly, Patti will not be singing on the series like fellow musical superstar Stevie Nicks did when she made an appearance on the third season of the series, Coven.
In other news, it looks like creator Ryan Murphy is cooking up quite the scary season for fans, as Kathy Bates confirmed to TV Line that she actually had trouble sleeping after filming her first scene the other week.
"After my first scene last week- and this is a terrible confession to make- I couldn't sleep until six in the morning, and then I slept for 30 hours," she reveals to the news site. "And that was without drugs, I swear to God. I think [Murphy] scares the s**t out of me."
The new season will premiere this October on FX.
