Brad Paisley and American Idol a Match Made in Heaven?

The latest rumor floating in the air is about country megastar Brad Paisley filling the empty seat that Steven Tyler left on American Idol.  The most successful American Idol winner Carrie Underwood does country music and Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson admits to living the life of a country singer more than a pop star. Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery is currently on tour with Paisley.  It does sound like a match made in heaven, doesn't it?

Deadline.com first reported that Fox is "seriously considering" Paisley to strengthen their judge panel.  NBC's The Voice proved that having country star Blake Shelton on the panel was not a bad idea at all.

Pop legend Mariah Carey has just signed on to fill Jennifer Lopez's spot this week, and FOX will be focusing on finding a new male judge. Paisley would definitely bring something new to the show if confirmed.  Though he may not be as mean as Simon Cowell or as sweet as Jennifer Lopez, he could most likely draw the nation's country fans to boost the show's ratings.
