On Saturday 16 August British boxer Kell Brook will look to achieve his life-long dream of becoming a world champion. However, the IBF Welterweight world champion, Shawn Porter, stands in his way, and that will be no easy task. Once this fight, and Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Marcos Maidana is done and dusted, the welterweight division will be set to explode, with fighters like Adrien Broner, Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi possibly looking to fight the first mentioned fighters. Who will be the IBF champion, and who will they fight next?

If Brook wins he is likely to fight Khan, in what would be one of the biggest boxing clashes in Britain and the world. If Porter wins he would be looking to fight Mayweather, but may settle for Broner. Porter has proven his worth, recently destroying Malignaggi, and if he beats the impressive Brook, there will be a host of options for him to choose from.

Broner is considered the second-coming of Mayweather, but his attitude seems to be even bigger. Because of the drama Porter and Broner bring, this would be a fight for the ages. The welterweight division is truly about to explode, and all of these fighters have a lot of time left to fight, meaning all of these could end up fighting one another at some point.
