Tonight "The Braxton Family Values" Season 4 premiere will air with major family feud after Tamar Braxton celebrates her birthday with her close friends and family in New York City as Toni Braxton gets ready for her Broadway performance for "After Midnight."
Last season, tension between Towanda Braxton and Tamar spills into the first episode after Towanda thinks Tamar's guest tried to slam her birthday speech for Tamar. The "Love and War" singer tried to defend her friend, which set Towanda off because she expected Tamar to stick up for her family.
Eventually, the argument develops at another family dinner to celebrate Toni's opening night when Towanda fires shots at Tamar's Tamartians (fans of Tamar) after one fan wished that Towanda's children "got hit by a bus and raped." Even though the dinner ended nicely, the ladies lunch the day after becomes explosive as Towanda loses her cool and snaps causing wine glasses and plates to go flying.
In an interview with ABC News Radio, Towanda opened up about the intense scene saying, "I couldn't be emotional. I couldn't let everybody know how I was really feeling because as soon as I do there's always a [back]lash. So I suppressed every time," she added, "I think there was only one other time - maybe not that big - I had lashed out and that's, like Trina said, that's when someone talked about my children. But when we were sitting together as a family I just felt that I wasn't being heard, and it was a long time coming."
Season premiere airs Thursday, August 14th at 9/8 C!
