Robert Pattinson is a rather private guy - especially for such a big-name celebrity. In fact, R-Patz seems to dislike the constant fame and attention associated with Hollywood. Perhaps that's the reason he's yet to pursue another romantic relationship since breaking things off with "Twilight" sweetheart, Kristen Stewart?

In a recent interview with London's popular Time Out magazine, the 28-year-old British heartthrob explains why he hates being photographed. It's an intrusion of his privacy - and now, R-Patz is sometimes scared to even leave his own home! Because of that, he's become somewhat of a recluse. But he still enjoys his job too much to actually quit Hollywood - in fact, it's sort of a release!

''Acting is the one thing you can control. If you give that up you're just a pawn in someone else's game. But I've definitely become a recluse."

"The Rover" star continues:

''I hate getting photographed. So my life has contracted a lot. I only go to places with underground parking lots that sounds stupid. But it means I don't have to deal with that anxiety.''

That's the main reason Pattinson actually relocated to LA. The London-native was too stressed living there - at least in Hollywood, there's several other celebs that the paparazzi can pester.

"If you're going out and you're a bit drunk, it's the law of averages," Pattinson explains. "It's just a matter of time before you punch someone in the face and that's a million dollars. That's why I can't live in London. I would love to live here, but there's no point.''

Pattinson has a LOT going on right now - probably way too busy for a serious girlfriend.

Do fans prefer "single" R-Patz, though?
