MStars News is bringing you shocking news, that a Chicago-area woman was found dead and stuffed inside of a suitcase in Bali, while on vacation with her daughter.
According to PEOPLE, Sheila von Weise-Mack's, 62, badly beaten body was found by a taxi driver on Tuesday, in the trunk of his car outside of the luxury Saint Regis Bali resort, where she was staying with her daughter, and her daughter's boyfriend.
19-year-old Heather Mack, and her boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer, 21, have been arrested in connection with the former Oak Park resident's murder. Von Weise-Mack was last seen alive on Monday at the Saint Regis, where camera footage from the hotel revealed that the mother and daughter were arguing in the hotel lobby.
The taxi driver who found the 62-year-old's remains says that the young adults bombarded his cab outside the hotel, only to put suitcase inside of his truck, along with two other bags, and never came back, but instead fled the hotel. Police later discovered the two staying in another hotel.
Back in Chicago, neighbors of the Oak Park suburb, revealed that the mother and daughter's relationship had been trouble for some years now.
"Police were here all the time," a neighbor revealed to the Chicago Tribune. "They would call police on each other. It turned very abusive and volatile."
David Powers, spokesman for Oak Park, shared that police had been called to the Mack's former residence 86 times since 2004. "They basically said they were a wide range of calls, mostly for domestic trouble and theft," he stated. "There were several missing person calls, and a few 911 hang-ups that police responded to."
Other neighbors appeared to be shocked by the vicious death. "I was leaving this morning and going past the TV set and I heard something about Heather Mack, which is a very rare name," a family member shared with ABC News. "But I just thought the world was too big for that to be her ... I don't believe this."
"You just don't know," one resident in the upscale neighborhood said. "You don't assume behavior is going past anything but difficult teen years. It's just beyond shocking."
The Bali police revealed that Mack and Schaefer are officially in custody in Bali, and are currently being questioned in connection with the case.
