Grant Gustin [Instagram Photos]: CW's 'The Flash' Star Puts On DC Comics' Superhero Costume! [Watch Video]

With the season premiere quickly approaching, the CW Network marked the occasion on Twitter, which then spread onto Instagram. Check out the newly released images of the leading actor, Grant Gustin, as the titled DC Comics superhero, The Flash.

In a marketing move that was risqué and unexpected at the same time, DC Comics reinvented all their superhero titles. With a fresh and brand new continuity all the issues started from scratch, calling itself the New 52. There were small changes made, such as Batman's age range, and major adjustments, such as the discontinuation of Superman and Lois Lane's marriage.

The CW posted an image of the Flash's costume on their official Twitter account. The tweet states, "Villains beware, the world's fastest superhero arrives in 52 Days! #TheFlash"

Notice how the CW coincided their marketing plans with DCU's New 52. The number plays a significant role for the Arrow spinoff in the countdown.

On his personal Instagram account, the Arrow guest star shared the same photo as well. Notice how the mask is more of a helmet in this version. Just like in the comics, the lightning symbol covers the ears. The outfit has more of a leathery feel and the red tones seem darker.

As reported here, there was also a trailer released entitled, "My Name Is..." Viewers got a chance to see the CGI special effects in the upcoming episodes.
