Ever since Luke Shaw left Southampton for Manchester United for a record-breaking $50 million fee, he's attracted nothing but attention. Every move he makes is often analyzed, and despite being injured, he was out after their 2-1 defeat to Swansea City this weekend. Apparently it was a harmless dinner, but English newspapers made it sound like he was out causing mayhem, and Shaw hit out at the Daily Mirror. With the left back tipped to star for the Red Devils and England for many years, he will have to get used to all of this attention.

The teenager was a revelation for his club, earning a big money move, but it appears the new-found fame at United is something he wasn't expecting. With the star tipped to enjoy a twelve-year career at the top, he will get nothing but this, so he'd better prepare for it. Should there be a player-ban imposed after defeats? The media generate negativity, almost suggesting that's how it should be.

United suffered a shock opening day defeat, and they're expecting better times one Shaw is back healthy and ready. The British media virtually stalk their players, perhaps putting unnecessary pressure on their young, talented stars. United have lost a lot of experienced players this summer, so it's vital they bring in more, which will help players like Shaw adapt to the vulture-like media sooner rather than later.

Will Shaw adapt to life at United, and is he worth $50 million? Only time will tell, but perhaps next time he should give them something to talk about.
