ABC's Revenge returns for Season 4 with its premiere on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 10 p.m., and a new character will be in the mix in the fourth season's first episode.
TVLine first reported exclusively that Yeardley Smith, who famously voices Lisa Simpson on The Simpsons, would guest star in the Season 4 premiere. The actress will play Phyills, a patient in the mental institution to which Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) was admitted in the Season 3 finale thanks to Emily's (Emily VanCamp) actions.
In other news, Revenge made a habit in its first three seasons of opening the season premiere with a flash-forward to a point later in the season. But according to a new report, that's not going to happen in Season 4.
The "Matt's Inside Line" column at TVLine reports the following.
"Is Revenge really not doing a flash-forward this season? It's the show's signature. -Jason
I can confirm that - tradition be damned - there will not be a flash-forward in Revenge's Season 4 premiere (airing Sept. 28)."
The Season 1 premiere showed Emily and Daniel's (Josh Bowman) engagement party and showed Daniel getting shot on the beach. Season 2 opened with the reveal that Jack's boat had sunk with a seemingly dead body inside of it. Season 3 started with Emily floating in the water with bullet holes in her abdomen.
How do you think Phyllis will affect Victoria and the rest of the show? What do you think she will do? Let us know in the comments below.
