When the first installment came out, the storyline was structured to take place between seasons 2 and 4. Twelve issues later, and now we're starting to cross the the bridge from the fifth season to sixth.
In his last seconds, Pope (Harold Perrineau) was held captive at gun point by Jax and Tig Trager (Kim Coates). When Pope threatened someone worse would take his place, Jax responded, "I'm counting on it." Fate would definitely have something special in store for them as Tig pulled the trigger.

The Sons of Anarchy gang are determined to make sure the right crew fills the empty void with whatever force necessary We will have to pick up the crime comic and see if the last page will segue into the final season.
As reported here, we know seventh season will bring rock star Marilyn Manson as white supremacist Ron Tully. From the teaser trailer, Jax seems to be on a warpath to find his wife's murderer, but doesn't realize it's his mother.
