5 Ways Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Rules As DC Comics' Superhero, Shazam! [Watch Videos]

With Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice scheduled to be released in 2016, there is another comic book movie already in the works. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has signed up to to be in another DC Comics movie, but he could either be the superhero Shazam, or his arch-nemesis, Black Adam.

As reported here, we know that the Hercules action star has signed on to play a role in an upcoming DC Comics adaptation. The question still remains, will the WWE superstar play the super villain or the superhero? We have fives reasons for you to be excited about the Scorpion King being in this film project.

1) Black Adam

If the Rock chooses to be Black Adam, this is going to be an awesome and powerful villain to have on the big screen. In the comics, the Mighty Adam is supposed to speak with an Egyptian accent. Let's hope the wrestling star has an dialect coach to help him achieve the accent. Check out a clip from Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam above.

2) Shazam

But what if the Rock chooses to be Captain Marvel instead? That means we finally have a hero who has powers that are equal to Superman's. That means double the action, more punches, and more flying into the air at super-speed. Check out these two superheroes fighting in an episode of the Justice League cartoon.

3) The Costume is Already There

In the Injustice: Gods Among Us videogame, there game designers altered Shazam's costume, going him an edgier look. With his outfit more leathery, the cape comes along with a hoodie. With this look, I can imagine the Rock looking moody and tough with his head bowed down and the hoodie covering half his face.

4) Henry Cavill

With the Man of Steel already bulked-up, you need another tough guy to stand next to him. In the comics, when these two are on opposing sides, get ready for to see tall buildings falling down and people to start running away frantically. This is going to be like the fight with General Zod but even better.

5) Justice League

Since we have a Superman (Cavill), a Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), and a Batman (Ben Affleck), and supposedly an Aquaman (Jason Mamoa) on the way, our Justice League lineup is almost complete. I would definitely love to see The Rock standing with this team as Shazam. Even if he was the the Black Adam, none of them would stand a chance against him.
