It's been reported that comedian Billy Crystal will lead the Robin Williams tribute during the 66th annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, Aug. 25, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The two comedians were longtime friends before the Mrs. Doubtfire star's unfortunate passing last Monday, Aug. 11 at the age of 63-years-old. Both Williams and Crystal starred alongside one another in the 1997 Ivan Reitman film Father's Day and had known each other beforehand from their days coming up in stand-up comedy. Crystal's tribute will be the first time he's speaking out about his friend's death with the exception of his twitter post.
As mentioned by MStarsNews, following Williams' passing, the When Harry Met Sally lead took to Twitter to express his feelings, tweeting out the only thing he, and many other people, could think of: "No words."
No words.
