Set photos of actor Scoot McNairy wearing green screen socks during filming of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice have led many fans to believe the Argo and Halt and Catch Fire actor will play The Flash in the movie and into Justice League. The actor has now commented on this possibility for the first time, though he does not confirm or deny the rumors.
Schmoes Know spoke to McNairy and said they would love to see the actor as part of the team in Justice League. McNairy replied, "Yeah, well, I hope to be a part of the DC Universe for a while as well." This is obviously not confirmation of a future role as a certain red costumed hero, but it does leave the door open for the possibility.
Badass Digest reports The Flash will be in the movie as the film builds to a Justice League team. It's unclear if McNairy would play Barry Allen (who has his own show on the CW this fall), Bart Allen or Wally West, but the site reports, "by the end of the movie we have a Justice League assembled that includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash."
You likely noticed Green Lantern, a key member of the Justice League, is missing from that list. Badass Digest also reports the character will not appear in Batman v. Superman, but will show up in Justice League.
Do you think McNairy will play The Flash in Dawn of Justice, Justice League or future DC movies? Let us know in the comments section.
