Reports confirm that Black Kapital Records CEO Suge Knight was shot at least six times during a violent altercation at West Hollywood's popular nightclub 1Oak. The star-studded pre-VMAs party was hosted by hip-hop crooner Chris Brown. The "Loyal" singer was not injured during the horrific shooting.
Details surrounding the actual shooting remain unconfirmed. According to fellow partiers including Tyson Beckford, Robert Ri'chard, and Apple de Ap, approximately four shots were fired inside the club at around 1:30am on Sunday (August 24).
Knight managed to leave the scene on his own, and was quickly rushed to a local hospital. Family members tell TMZ that he underwent surgery for his severe wounds. He is currently recovering in the ICU.
Watch:
Other sources insist that two more individuals were also hit, and one remains in critical condition. Police later apprehended unidentified suspected gunmen during a thorough search of the nightclub.
Alleged eyewitness Katie Clendon believes Breezy was the intended target. She tweeted:
"Literally can't believe what I just witnessed. Someone tried to fire shots at Chris Brown at 1oak. Speechless... Prayers to all those harmed by this. Honestly still in disbelief this happened."
Brown was apparently seen climbing onto the bar following the shooting, angrily yelling at cops while they ordered all partygoers to "get down." He also tweeted Sunday morning:
@chrisbrown: "It's disappointing that we as a society can't have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bullshit!!!"
According to the infamous gossip webloid, earlier on in the evening rapper The Game was denied entry into 1Oak. His crew started a huge fight with security and would not leave the area. It remains unconfirmed if any of these individuals were involved in the shooting.
Stay tuned as more details develop...
