During this weekend's 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, a tribute to Ferguson (and all that has occurred in the last month in terms of race issues, protests and police brutality) took place with a moving speech by rapper Common. The camera panned around the crowd when Common asked for a moment of silence during the live broadcast of the VMAs, then focused on KUWTK stars Kim Kardashian and her half-sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, who were all on their phones and/or acting generally distracted. Reactions to this footage have been popping up ever since on Twitter, including photo evidence of the incident.
Let's check out some of the reactions, complete with screenshots of the broadcast showcasing the reality TV sisters during this tribute:

Those watching the live footage of this texting scandal were outraged, of course, but soon the anger turned to humor, with plenty of funny Tweets reacting to the incident. Let's take a look at some right here:

Buzzfeed reached out to MTV to confirm whether or not this KUWTK texting moment was shown during the actual Ferguson tribute and "wasn't on a delay and shown by mistake."
