News broke that Ben Affleck would portray Bruce Wayne/Batman in Zack Snyder's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice one year ago, and Batman-News celebrated that announcement over the weekend with a new piece of scoop on the character.
Snyder shot some scenes last week in Detroit's Masonic Temple, a large reception hall for weddings, parties, etc. But Snyder turned it into "an underground MMA fighting arena and bar" similar to the famous one from Fight Club, the site reports. Attendees bet on the fights and Bruce Wayne reportedly joins in the activities. Someone asks what he's doing there and he says, "I'm kind of a night person." He then speaks to someone at the bar.
Last week, Batman-News posted a few photos from Bananadoc of cars that read "Capitol Hill Taxi" on the side. The site includes the following blurb with the photos.
"A major action scene was shot in July in one of the big studios in Detroit. Without giving too much away...it involves Superman and the United States Capitol building in Washington D.C. Superman will have to answer for what happened at the end of Man of Steel. Half the public blames him for all the death and destruction. If it wasn't for Superman being there, General Zod would have never come to Earth."
Why do you think Bruce Wayne would go to an underground fight club? What could the character want to accomplish, and what does this mean for the movie as a whole? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
