Emmys 2014 Robin Williams Tribute, Billy Crystal [VIDEO] Watch This Moving Segment For Legendary Comedian

While the 66^th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards saw plenty of winners and losers, one huge loss of 2014 that we've all felt was that of legendary comedian Robin Williams. In a special segment at the Emmys ceremony, Williams' friend Billy Crystal gave an amazing, emotional tribute to the actor in one of the most moving segments in the history of the awards show. As you can imagine, Crytal's speech about his departed friend was a tearful event. He reminisced about working with Robin on stage and how he was as great a friend out of the spotlight as he was a performer. We all have memories of Williams thanks to his movies, but Crystal was one of the actor's closest friends.

"Well, as genius as he was onstage, he was the greatest friend you could ever imagine - supportive, protective, loving. It's very hard to talk about him in the past because he was so present in all of our lives," Crystal told the audience and those watching at home. "For almost 40 years, he was the brightest star in a comedy galaxy. But while some of the brightest of our celestial bodies are actually extinct now, their energy long since cooled, but miraculously, because they float in the heavens so far away from us now, their beautiful light will continue to shine on us forever. And the glow will be so bright, it'll warm your heart, it'll make your eyes glisten, and you'll think to yourselves: Robin Williams, what a concept."
