Get ready for a new season of The Bachelor, as a new man has just been picked to look for love on the ABC series. It was just announced that a former contestant on Andi Dorfman's season of The Bachelorette will be joining the ABC series as the new single hunk. Chris Soules is set to take on the ladies as he weeds through to try to find his soul mate.
According to E! News, farmer Chris beat out other Bachelorette hopeful Arie Luyendyk Jr., from Emily Maynard's season, to be the star of the newest installment of the series. The news site is reporting that Soules will be confirming his new role when he appears on Good Morning America tomorrow.
It looks like Arie hinted at Chris's involvement in the upcoming season on his Twitter account, writing, "I'm not the Bachelor, have fun on the farm people. Thanks for the kind words everyone. It wasn't meant to be, and I'm okay with it. Happy I can move forward."
While E! was told that Arie just speculated about the casting decision, a source close to the show confirmed the news.
Chris commented to E! News during his appearance on the Men Tell All special that he would gladly take on the role if it was given to him.
"How could you not be interested in that? Chris explained. "Especially for me, in the situation I'm in. I live in a small town. It's kind of part of the reason I'm here. I'm 32 and I haven't really met the person I'm looking for and it's hard to meet people... in a small town. So that alone makes it something I would be interested in."
