The 2014/15 NCAA College Football season is about to start, but there's a lot of off-field problems that need to be quickly resolved. USC have been all over the news because of Josh Shaw, Anthony Brown and Steve Sarkisian, and these reports have led to Manti Te'o and his fake girlfriend stories resurfacing once again. The former Notre Dame star is in the NFL, but he is yet again at the center of NCAA jokes. Can the season start and finish with no more drama?
Shaw has lost the support of the USC locker room, because of a lie. He told the team he sprained both ankles while saving his 7-year-old nephew from drowning in a pool last weekend, but mid-week he admitted it was a hoax, reminding the world about the Te'o fake girlfriend story. The USC players are sure they cannot forgive him, and after much drama it appears there's no way back for him. He is suspended, but it looks unlikely he'll return regardless.
That's not it at USC. Running back Brown has quit the team, saying the head coach is a "racist". Via Instagram he posted "Sark treated me like a slave in his Office...Can't play for a racist MAN!!!!! #Fighton." He then added an image saying "Couldn't play for a racist man." Could their coach be the next man to leave?
It seems it's nothing but drama at USC, but will the NCAA sort this mess out, or will the season bring yet more drama?
