A great night of country music at a Jason Aldean concert had just ended on Friday (July 27) when a gun shot rang across the nearby parking lot. A fan was shot and rushed to the local hospital.
Fans were leaving the show when the shooting occurred and all people present were forced to stay while the police investigated.
"They weren't letting anybody in or out. It was horrific. We were stopped the entire time. We couldn't get out of there," a concert attendee said to WRAL.
The gunman is currently being sought after and any information is to be reported to the phone line 919-834-5357.
Aldean himself was horrified by the shooting and tweeted, "There's no excuse 4 things getting that heated in traffic leavin a show. I'm prayin 4 the fan who was injured and thanx to the Raleigh police for acting so quickly."
The country star will continue on his tour as the Raleigh police continue to investigate until the shooter is found.
Just recently, another violent act had occurred at a Tenacious D concert, leaving a fan stabbed in the Las Vegas show.
Stay safe concert goers!
