New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has terminated wide receiver Stephen Hill's two-year run with the team. Though football critics can agree Hill's time was a disappointing turnout, agent Eric Hillman argues that this round of NFL cuts was uncalled for, because the player received lack of opportunities to showcase his true strengths.

NFL.com has confirmed the fallout between star player and the team's management. There were rumors of trade speculation this current preseason, but no deal came about. The 6-foot-4 receiver supposedly was never a big favorite from Ryan, which possibly led to him being out of work.

In his argument, Hillman tells USA Sports that the sports athlete was never given a chance to develop his strengths with his teammates: "I'm disappointed in [General Manager] John Idzik and Rex with the way the whole thing went down there. Two years in that kind of situation is disheartening." The athlete's agent continues, "He didn't have a chance that first year with that whole Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez fiasco."

On one hand, that could be true; but there's another side to the story. Looking at the statistics, the athlete's career stalled due to injuries and costly drops. After making only 45 receptions for 594 yards, the football player just made four touchdowns in two seasons.

Problems continue to pile-up for the Jets. We also reported that cornerback Dimitri Patterson went AWOL for 48 hours, when he was supposed to be playing in the game. Patterson's hasty suspension came about because of Jets' 35-24 tremendous loss to the Giants.

Stephen Hill's contract with the New York Jets has been terminated. Readers, do you think the Jets will ever recover from this NFL cut?
