In an interview released by MTV News on Monday, pop music sensation Carly Rae Jepsen admitted that the scope of opening for Justin Bieber on his long-anticipated Believe tour will be bigger than anything she has ever seen or experienced while on tour.
When asked about her feelings regarding the upcoming tour with the Biebs, Jepsen admitted "I don't know what to expect. [How do you] take it in? I don't know that I totally do." This will be the first time the "Call me Maybe" star tours worldwide, with shows kicking off in September.
Jepsen is currently playing some sporadic summer shows up and down the coast of North America, but none of them compare to the massive audiences she will face when on tour with Justin Bieber.
Jepsen played two shows abroad with Bieber early this year (one in London and the other in Mexico city) and she claims all she could say "is, like, 'Wow.' They were huge - 300,000 people in Mexico City. I was speechless."
Jepsen was met with instant fame once the Biebs announced that she would sign with the label School Boy in February 2012, run by his manager, Scooter Braun. The announcement was made the same day her second studio album "Curiosity" dropped, and her hit single "Call me Maybe" has maintained a top spot on the music charts ever since (the single currently hit its seventh week at the no. 1 spot on Hot 100).
The Believe tour commences right about the time Jepsen will release a debut, collaborative album with Bieber, the details of which she is keeping under wraps.
