The Premier League transfer gossip will die down soon, but not after exploding today. Today is the last day for the teams to make their final transfers for the summer. One suprise has happend, with Manchester United closing in on Radamel Falcao, but they might lose Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley. Could Daley Blind, Fabio Borini, Jermain Defoe and James McArthur all complete deadline day EPL moves?
United have shocked the world, confirming they are close to signing Blind and Falcao, but they will let Welbeck and Cleverley go, and possibly others. Cleverley looks set to join Aston Villa or Everton, while Welbeck could go to Everton, Tottenham or Sunderland. Sunderland are also chasing Liverpool forward Borini. At the moment none of these deals have been rubber-stamped, but with plenty of deadline day yet to come, these players could end up anywhere.
One deal that is 100% done is former Peterborough United man Boyd, moving from Hull City to EPL newcomers Burnley. The talented attacker is hoping to get more game-time, and Burnley are hopeful he will help them to stay in the EPL. QPR are closing in on a deal to bring in former EPL veteran, and MLS striker, Defoe. The striker would be a huge boost to their survival hopes. Across London, Crystal Palace are close to signing Wigan's McArthur.
Which of these deals represents the best value for money? Can anyone top Falcao's move to Manchester United, and will they regret selling so many young players?
