While fans are anxiously awaiting for the premiere of Marvel's Agent Carter on ABC, two new announcements have been made about the upcoming spy series. Actors Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill) and Enver Gjokai (Dollhouse) join the cast with lead actress Hayley Atwell as they embark together on a new action-packed adventure.
As we mentioned here, the first season takes place after Peggy Carter (Atwell) has returned home after World War II has ended. Just because the ex-solider isn't fighting anymore, that doesn't mean she isn't anxious about serving her country again. Carter has to fill in the lingering pain of losing the love of her life, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), in Captain America: The First Avenger.
Marvel has announced the signing of two key series regulars on their official website. The Fruitvale Station actor has been recruited for the role of SSR Agent Jack Thompson. The Would You Rather horror actor has landed the role of Agent Daniel Sousa. Both characters do not show up in the comics and are made specifically for the TV show.
We reported here that Atwell has ten weeks to train herself and get in shape for the stunt-work. Do you think Murray and Gjokai will be joining the action star as they attempt to do their own stunts?
Marvel's Agent Carter is expected to premiere when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on its mid-season break. Readers, are you excited to see Hayley Atwell with her new cast-mates?
