This is every teenybopper fantasy come true. Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson are joining forces to create some sweet sweet music together. The two teen heartthrobs are currently in the midst of putting their duet album together.
According to E! News, the two were spotted together earlier this summer when photos of them leaving the studio leaked; making fans speculated that they were working on music together. 17-year-old Simpson confirmed the rumors to Sydney Daily Telegraph sayings, "It is a smack bang duets [album]."
While some may not understand the pairing, Cody told the newspaper that him and Justin have been friends for a while.
"Justin has been a good mate of mine for a while. It's just us writing," he explained, adding "he told me he felt like I'd figure myself out and have grown into what he knows I will be so he was like, 'I see you as that guitarist, singer, songwriter you've always wanted to be.' I play the guitars on the album."
The friendship started when Simpson opened for Bieber during his Believe Tour back in 2012 and 2013. The companionship soon blossomed into this project as Simpson took to Twitter back in July to comment on the progress of the rumored album.
"Hanging around the kitchen island playing my family a bunch of new music. @JustinBieber what we've created is incredible mate," Cody writes on the social media site.
He also tried to upload snippets of the new music to his Instagram page, earlier this month, but they were later deleted.
