50 Cent recently leaked the lead single "New Day" off of his highly anticipated upcoming fifth studio album "Street King Immortal."
The single, produced by Dr. Dre (who also appears on the track) and mixed by rapper Eminem, also features vocals from R&B/soul sensation Alicia Keys.
"Street King Immortal" was originally set to be released earlier in July, but now will not debut until November 13. 50 Cent blames this delay on his long time label Interscope Records, saying management provided him with little support and marketing. He later announced that this will be his last deal with the Universal Music Group record label.
"Street King Immortal" will be released through Shady/Aftermath/Interscope records.
Earlier in July 50 Cent tweeted:
@50cent: "The appetizer is coming tomorrow 5 murder numbers," (July 3).
"5(Murder by Numbers)" is a 10-track, self-released digital album (produced by Focus, Hit-Boy, Trax, and Havoc) which was released on July 6. Originally promoted as 50 Cent's fifth studio album, he later released a statement insisting that the official LP "Street King Immortal" would come out in November. 50 Cent released "5" for free listening on the mix tape site datpiff.com. Take a sneak peak at what fans can expect once November strolls around.
"Street King Immortal" follows the release of 50 Cent's hit 2009 album, "Before I Self Destruct."
