'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Nene Leakes Coming To Broadway? 'RHOA' Star Cast In 'Cinderella'

A dream is a wish your heart makes, and it looks like NeNe Leakes had a pretty big dream, as The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is about to make her way to Broadway. The reality-star turned actress will be making her "Great White Way" debut in Rodger's & Hammerstein's Cinderella come November 25.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the star is set to take on the role of Cinderella's wicked stepmother, Madame, later in the year. Sherri Shepherd, former co-host on The View, is currently gearing up to take on the role, which will begin on September 9 and run until November 22, when Leakes will replace her.

It looks like Leakes will play the LAST wicked stepmother in the revival, as the production announced earlier this year that they would be ending the show's two-year run on January 3, 2015.

This isn't the first stage show for NeNe, as earlier this year she was featured in the Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas production of Zumanity.

KeKe Palmer is set to make her debut in the production as the main character on September 9, alongside Sherri. Broadway veteran Judy Kaye will be making her debut as the fairy godmother a few days later on September 12.

Other Cinderella cast members have included Carly Rae Jepsen, Fran Drescher, Laura Osnes, Victoria Clarke and Harriet Harris.

When the show closes its door on January 3, it will have completed 770 performances as well as 41 previews.
