The 2014 NFL season is here, and that means 2014 fantasy football is back. It's the most control you're likely to get, unless you're playing this year's Madden 15 video game. However, with money, prizes, Super Bowl trips and the chance to better your friends, you might be desperate for some inside knowledge. Starting today, Mstars will bring you a weekly fantasy football update, so you know who you should pick, and who you shouldn't. It's week one and here are some suggestions to get you started.
QB: Nick Foles
RB: Ben Tate
RB: Knowshon Moreno
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
WR: Tavon Austin
TE: Jordan Cameron
Defense: Kansas City Chiefs
Kicker: Billy Cundiff
Wild Card: Tom Brady
Choosing your quarterback can indeed be difficult, and as the season progresses it will become easier. However, Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles is the must-have QB for now. He's cheap, can run, can throw and the Eagles have a much better team surrounding him. Tom Brady is also worth considering, however, if you're lucky enough to have a wild card player pick, then opt for him as your WC pick, not your starter.
There are some expensive RB to choose from, but it's important to assess who will get the most running time, and which guy will bring the hard-hitting points you require. Both Ben Tate and Knowshon Moreno are at new NFL teams, and have a point to prove, that they should be the main man. Now is that time, and they will receive a lot of action, meaning more points for your team. Tate's Browns could be beneficial to your team this week, as tight end Jordan Cameron and Billy Cundiff are likely to be used a lot against their rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This leaves the defense and your final receiver. The Kansas City Chiefs are tipped to have a Super Bowl contending roster, and their defense was second to none last season, so start the season with their defense, and you should have the upper hand. Also, Tavon Austin could be your secret weapon at WR. Cheap, young and more than proved himself last season.
