Sunday was an incredibly emotional day as Joan Rivers' body was transported to a crematorium, where her daughter, Melissa Rivers, and her grandson, Cooper said their final goodbye.
According to TMZ, Rivers watched 6 pallbearers carry away the coffin of her mother, the comedian out of an upper East Side funeral home a hearse that was outside. According to Page Six, Melissa's son, Cooper, 13 placed his hand on his mother's back to reassure her that everything was going to be ok as Melissa kissed the coffin that took her mother away to be cremated before her funeral Sunday at Temple Emanu-El on the Upper East Side.
Joan's body was reportedly being moved to a crematorium in NJ. Her memorial service will be held at a Manhattan temple tomorrow.
Rivers, 81 passed away last week at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was being treated after she stopped breathing during an in-office throat procedure last month, at Yorkville Endoscopy.
Medical Examiner's and New York's State Health Department are still investigating what went wrong during Rivers procedure.
"No update. Cause and manner of death are pending additional studies," a spokeswoman for the Medical Examiner's office revealed over the weekend.
Celebs like Howard Stern, Donald Trump, Whoopi and Sarah Jessica Parker attended the memorial for Rivers.
The people who knew Joan Rivers best, gathered at her memorial service that was held at the Temple Emanu-el in NYC. Other attendees included, Rivers co-host, of Fashion Police, Kelly Osbourne, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford, Andy Cohen, Giuliana Rancic and Bernadette Peters.
