Tom Hiddleston is best known for his role as Loki in the Marvel cinematic universe, but he just signed on for a project that could reinvent his acting career. He's set to portray Hank Williams in a biopic movie entitled I Saw The Light, which surprised most since nobody has heard him sing in any other projects. We can put our worries to rest, though, because this past weekend Hiddleston crashed Michigan's Wheatland Music Festival and performed Williams' "Move it on Over."
In our previous coverage of the biopic casting news, we asked our readers if the actor could pull off the role. As if hearing our question (which was asked by plenty of other reports), Hiddleston answered with this surprise performance.

I Saw the Light is set to start filming in October, leaving the rest of September for Hiddleston to crash other music festivals for secret Hank Williams covers. Do you think we'll see Hiddleston repeat this performance soon? We understand that researching a role is important, so we're hoping Tom will continue this trend and surprise more lucky fans with impromptu performances!
The image at the top of this page is from Tom's new movie Only Lovers Left Alive, in which he plays a musician that is an immortal vampire. We'll get a chance to see his musical chops in this movie before the biopic!
