Third Time's The Charm! Jill Duggar Took Three Pregnancy Tests, To Find Out That She Was Expecting Her First Child With Husband, Derick Dillard

MStars News has learned that Jill Duggar was "very surprised" when she found out that she was pregnant with her first child with new husband, Derick Dillard.

According to US Weekly, the 19 Kids and Counting star recalled the moment she realized that she was going to be not only a newlywed but a new mother.

"I was thinking that maybe we should take a pregnancy test," Jill, 23, said, noting that she took two pregnancy tests that "were both negative," but a third try resulted in a positive test, leaving the newlyweds shocked but happy.

"We were really surprised when we got that positive test," Duggar revealed. "but of course we were really excited. I think we would have even been less surprised had it come back positive on one of the first tests."

MStars News previously learned that the couple were expecting when the couple revealed the news via TLC describing how they told their family.

We also reported that one of Jill's sisters encouraged her to take one of their mother's pregnancy test, and we have now learned which sister that was.

"It was Jinger," Jill shared. Jinger who is 20, was the first person to learn that her sister Jill was pregnant. "She was like, 'You know, mama has a bunch of pregnancy tests upstairs. You should take one of hers.'" Jill thought the idea was funny, but decided to take one of her parents' test in the family bathroom to prove her sisters wrong. "That's where we took one of my mom's pregnancy tests," she said, "and it came back positive."

Jill not long revealed the wonderful news to her husband, Derick who was also present when Jill took the test. "Absolutely, he was there," Jill told the magazine. "He was thrilled."

Jill also revealed that she had a couple of bumps and hiccups along the way after the test came back positive. "One of the [previous] pregnancy tests had the little plus sign and the other one had the straight line. The one we had taken two days before was the one that was supposed to have the plus sign. The one I took at my mom's was just one line." The happy mom-to-be says that her 25-year-old husband, saw the line on her third and final test and said: "No babe. Look! You're not pregnant.'"

But the joke was on Jill, because she was in fact pregnant. "We were super excited," Jill says. "We prayed together, and thanked God for this new little life. I was screaming and everything," she continued. "He was like, 'Don't get too excited! You might stress out the baby or something.' He's so cute. He's so sweet."

Jill also mentioned that her mother noticed one of her pregnancy test was missing. "My mom texted me later inquiring about it. She was like, 'So I have a question! I found an empty pregnancy test in the trash can and your cup on the counter, so anything you want to share?'" A pregnant Jill wanted to wait to tell both her parents the wonderful news face to face. "I was like, 'We'll wait and see,'" Jill explains. "It was funny. She had a suspicion there. She was thinking, 'something's up.'"

Duggar confirmed to Us on Aug. 20 that she was indeed expecting her first child, 60 days after their wedding. She tells Us, "We really didn't know how long we'd be able to keep it a secret with all of our friends. We wanted to tell them."
