Ray Rice was recently cut from the Baltimore Ravens and dropped by the NFL, but now you can add Madden NFL 15 to the list of things the football player won't appear in. EA Games announced this week that he has been dropped from the video game's roster because of the same reason he lost his job: he assaulted his wife, Janay Rice, in an elevator earlier this year.
Fox's Mike Garafolo broke this news on Twitter, saying Rice would be removed from the game in the week 1 update from EA:
Source tells @FOXSports1 that @EASPORTS will remove Ray Rice from Madden '15 as part of Wk 1 update. Won't be on Ravens or free agent lists.

Shortly after this announcement, USA Today reporter Brett Molina took to Twitter to further this report, stating EA Games will officially remove Rice:
Confirmed with EA that Ray Rice will be removed from Madden NFL 15. Rosters will be updated by Friday. — Brett Molina (@brettmolina23) September 9, 2014
Similar to this recent Rice removal, EA removed incarcerated NFL star Evan Hernandez following his murder trial indictment a few years back.
As stated in the tweets above, Ray Rice will be completely removed from the video game and won't even appear on the free agents list. Though this is the lesser of the punishments for Rice, it is just another example of how the player should be treated after assaulting his wife back in February.
