'Sons Of Anarchy' Recap: 'Black Widower' Begins Jimmy Smits, Drea De Matteo, Charlie Hunnam's Final Season 7!

The highly anticipated season 7 premiere of Sons of Anarchy has finally arrived on FX. Kurt Sutter's epic motorcycle crime/drama begins its final season with Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Drea De Matteo and Jimmy Smits returning to their perspective roles, as 'Black Widower' sets the stage for a bloody war.  

The cold opening begins with Jax (Hunnam) in prison, beating the crap out of somebody. While Gemma (Sagal) is taking care of her grandkids, Juice (Theo Rossi) is hiding himself buck naked, and Wayne (Dayton Callie) delivers flowers to Tara's grave. While the Sons of Anarchy club ride their bikes across the highways, Nero (Smits) is in talks with the Mayans and Wendy (DeMatteo) has checked herself out of rehab.  

While Gemma and Tyne (CCH Pounder) have a short talk, Jax has orchestrated a plan to get the attention of white supremacist Ron Tully (Marilyn Manson). The reason he was beating and craving up a prisoner, is because Jax needs something from Ron. The two shake on a secret deal they have made behind bars.

Tyne explains to Jax that she cannot find any suspects for Tara's murder. She cannot hold Jax in prison any longer and lets him go, realizing she cannot prevent war from happening. Jax is free to go with Gemma as they head back to the club house.

The rest of the club - including Tig (Kim Coates), Chibs (Tommy Flanagan), and Munson (Mark Boone Junior) - are heading towards a gangster's place. The club wants info but the snitch in wheelchair isn't giving any info away. Tired of waiting, Chibs pulls out his piece, ties up the wheelchair bound criminal, and lets him get dragged away while the car keeps driving away. 

Back in his rightful chair, Jax explains that he has just lost the love of his life, but he will not lose his club. He then meets up with Nero, who offers to make peace with the other gangs. In their meeting, they end up being invited to an XXX party to celebrate the launch of a new porno establishment. 

Because of bad info, Jax and his crew end up killing an innocent, but perverted reverend and pastor. Before the party, Gemma and Nero reignite their passion, but Wendy has her eye on the boy toy too. While everyone is at the party, poor Wayne ends up getting a gun pointed at his head by Juice.

During the XXX party, Gemma points to the wrong man, telling Jax and his crew that she saw a mysterious figure running away from Tara's home, the night she was murdered. Because Jax believes everything Gemma is telling her, he thinks the Chinese gang ordered the hit on Tara.

Nothing stops Jax as he tortures, cuts, and stabs Henry Lin's bodyguard. A bloody war is about to happen and it's all Gemma's fault.
