Many fans of Showtime's Homeland were not pleased when the show killed off Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) in the Season 3 finale. Those same fans likely won't be too happy to learn that Brody is not even referenced in the Season 4 premiere.

The "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide reports the following scoop on the first episode of the fourth season.

"Although we expect the ghost of Brody to haunt the new season at some point, his name isn't even mentioned in the first episode. Instead, Carrie is thrust right back into the center of the action by overseeing a drone-strike program in Afghanistan. Things get a bit dicey, however, when Carrie's latest target is taken out... during a family wedding (three words: international. PR. nightmare.). But perhaps the most telling thing about Carrie is how little any of what she's doing these days seems to faze her."

The newest Season 4 trailer for Homeland drops plenty of intel for viewers to absorb and clears up some mysteries about the upcoming fourth season.

Firstly, we see Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) working together. The two were on shaky ground throughout much of Season 3, and Saul left the CIA at in the finale. But Carrie reluctantly accepts his help in the trailer, which could mean the two become allies once again.

We also see Carrie with Brody's redheaded baby. Carrie was pregnant with the child last year, but he's been born when Season 4 begins, it seems. Carrie's sister Maggie (Amy Hargreaves) accuses her of getting her overseas job to avoid raising her daughter, which could be true knowing the damaged Carrie.

What do you think of the fact that Brody is not even mentioned in the first episode of Season 4? Let us know in the comments section.
