‘Law & Order: SVU’ Actress Mariska Hargitay Has the Perfect Response To Taylor Swift Naming Her Cat Olivia Benson

Law & Order: SVU's Olivia Benson can do no wrong, and neither can the actress that plays her, Mariska Hargitay. On Monday the actress finally responded to Taylor Swift naming her cat Olivia Benson in honor of her character on the show... and it was perfect.

In June the "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," singer announced on Instagram that she got a new, adorable cat. She simply wrote, "Meet Olivia Benson" with a picture of the little kitten.

When Teen Vogue asked the singer-songwriter which TV, book or movie character she would want to dine with, Taylor didn't hesitate with her answer, "Detective Olivia Benson from Law & Order SVU" she said to the publication in 2011.

"I sit in my apartment and watch hours of that show. So I sort of feel like me and Olivia are BFFs," she added.

With such strong feelings about the show, it isn't surprising that she chose to name her cat after the iconic detective. The "22" singer has another cat named Meredith Grey in honor of her obsession with Grey's Anatomy.

Although it has been a few months since Taylor shared the picture of her new pet the SVU actress has finally responded to the singer's cute ode to her famous character with a picture of her own.

Mariska shared a photo of herself wearing a cat collar with the name "Olivia Benson" inscription on it. Just when we though Mariska couldn't get any better, she posts this photo and hilarious comment.

The 50-year-old actress will reprise her role as the hardcore and totally loveable Olivia Benson this fall as the show returns for its 16^th season on September 24.
