WWE taped its Sept. 12, 2014 edition of Friday Night Smackdown on Tuesday from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The episode begins with The Usos, Mark Henry and Big Show taking on Stardust, Goldust, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.
The face team wins the match. What's interesting and kind of cool here is that Henry and Big Show are still a fully functional team while Henry also takes on Rusev.
Bo Dallas defeats Justin Gabriel in the next match. Jack Swagger is at ringside taunting Bo for the entire match, but he Bo-lieves enough to earn the win despite Swagger's presence.
Divas Champion Paige defeats Summer Rae in a non-title match. AJ Lee is on commentary and Paige, probably in an effort to get under AJ's skin (or even to flatter her) earns the win with the Black Widow submission hold. Nikki Bella was not present for this segment.
Mark Henry defeats Rusev in an International Arm Wrestling contest. Rusev demands a rematch after the loss and is about to lose again when Lana throws powder into Henry's face, which allows Rusev to steal the win. Maybe she's been taking lessons from Mr. Fuji?
Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth, who is dressed in Ziggler's gear, defeat The Miz and Damien Mizdow.
Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns defeat Randy Orton and Seth Rollins in the main event. Y2J pins Orton with a roll up and the faces stand tall and celebrate as the show goes off the air. Jericho will face Orton and Reigns will face Rollins in singles action at Night of Champions.
