Michelle Williams, one of our favorite daughters of Destiny is gearing up to star in her own Oxygen reality series Fix My Choir. The Destiny's Child star will travel around the country helping some pretty dysfunctional choirs find their perfect melody again. Gospel star Deitrick Haddon will also help Williams as they try to turn these drab church singers into fab gospel choirs.
Williams, who started her career as a member of Destiny's Child with fellow singers Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland, turned to gospel music recently after parting with the band. However, the girls are still as close as ever, as they were just featured on Michelle's Christian single "Say Yes."
Deitrick on the other hand is a gospel singer, a music producer and a songwriter on top of being a pastor, talk about being a triple-threat. This isn't his first foray into reality TV as he also stars in the Oxygen series Preachers of L.A.
"A great choir has the potential to inspire communities and uplift people everywhere," vice president of Oxygen Rob Aissa explained to The Wrap. "Viewers will witness Deitrick and Michelle breathe new life into choirs that have lost their way in Fix My Choir, culminating with unforgettable performances that will bring the house down."
In the first trailer for the series we see Michelle and Deitrick as they teach some tone-deaf singers how to singer and dance.
The show will premiere on the newly rebranded Oxygen network on Tuesday, October 7.
